Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
In plain language: SlateHub is a platform for people in the TV, film, and content industries. These terms explain the rules for using it. If you use SlateHub, you agree to follow them.
Who We Are
SlateHub is operated by Seceda GmbH, a company registered in Germany. When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean Seceda GmbH.
Your Account
To use SlateHub, you need to create an account. Here is what we ask:
- Use your real information when signing up
- Keep your password safe — do not share it
- You must be at least 16 years old
- Tell us if someone else is using your account without your permission
You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
What You Can Do
SlateHub lets you create a professional profile, join and create productions, connect with other people in the industry, and share your work. Use it for these purposes and be respectful to others.
What You Cannot Do
Please do not:
- Post anything false, misleading, or illegal
- Harass, threaten, or bully other users
- Use someone else's work without their permission
- Try to hack, break, or overload our systems
- Scrape data or use bots without our written permission
- Create fake accounts or impersonate someone
Your Content
Your content belongs to you. When you post something on SlateHub, you still own it. You give us permission to display it on the platform, store it, and make your public profile visible to others.
Make sure you have the right to share anything you post. If someone asks us to remove content that infringes their rights, we may need to take it down.
Our Content
The SlateHub platform itself — its design, code, and branding — belongs to us. SlateHub is open source, and the source code is available under its license on GitHub. This does not give you rights to the SlateHub name, logo, or trademarks.
Free Service
SlateHub is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, but we will always let you know before charging for anything. Your existing free features will not suddenly become paid.
Closing Your Account
You can close your account at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. When you close your account:
- Your profile will no longer be visible
- You can request that we delete all your personal data
- We will process deletion within 30 days
We may also suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We will tell you why if we do this.
No Guarantees
We do our best to keep SlateHub running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for:
- Content posted by other users
- Temporary downtime for maintenance or technical issues
- What happens between users outside of SlateHub
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will notify you by email or through the platform. If you keep using SlateHub after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by German law. If we have a dispute, we will try to resolve it informally first. If that does not work, the courts in Germany have jurisdiction.
